We want to inspire curiosity and a deep personal engagement among all those we touch, and this begins with believing in the magic of dance. Alberta Ballet's employees are closest to Alberta Ballet’s purpose. It is natural, then, that our first value is Believe. By believing in the interdependence between movement and wellness, every employee who applies their skills and expertise is helping to share dance and all its transformative benefits.
REFLECT
Our second value is Reflect. It is not enough to perform for our communities; we must resonate with them, involve them and participate with them. Albertans from every corner of the province must see themselves on our stages and in our studios, in our classrooms and in our offices. When we involve our communities, we will share stories that reflect the diversity of Alberta. We will have a stronger connection with them, and they will see greater benefit from participating with us.
SERVE
Our third value, Serve, reminds us that community well-being is at the heart of Alberta Ballet. There are but a handful of arts organizations in Canada with a provincial mandate, and we are taking steps to put this mandate at the centre of who we are and what we do. We will deliver dance across the province and serve as many Albertans as we can reach. Through dance training and performances, we need to provide opportunities for all Albertans to experience the value of dance.
